Many famous
people are buried in the grave yard here. The whole of the Culross
'Royal Family' (the Macintyres, who found fame and fortune in 17th
century theatre in Edinburgh) are buried here. Also here are the
remains Captain (Black) Bob Forsyth, pirate and explorer whose total
wealth was said to rival that of the 'Citie Fatheres of Edinburgh' His
epitaph reads: Her Lyes the bodie of Captaine Robert
Forsyth, seaman and great explorer.
He sailed the seas seven night and day
to finde out new lands and new ways.
Black Bob was unique for a man of his stand
Lived on the seas and diede on the land.
