In the early days of Brookside, a hole appeared in the middle of the close. It was there for months, and no-one seemed much concerned about it. Residents had to drive through each other's gardens, and (if my memory serves me well) Mona, Paul Collins' mother-in-law, fell down it at one point. Was this a realistic story? I think not!
